This was Hurst School's final art exhibition. Hurst is
about to amalgamate with another special school in St Helens.
At present there are about 125 pupils aged between 4-16 years.
Dina has been the resident artist for the last ten years.
She comes to school one day a week and has enthralled the
children with her hands-on approach. The pupils use hands,
brushes, sponges, in fact anything that will help them 'make
a mark'. The results over the years have been truely creative.
Dina worked with a group of year 10 pupils painting the
walls of the Merseyside Police Riot Centre with realistic
street scenes. She has created scenery for several ambitious
productions performed by the school and has been an essential
contributor to the school's Artsmark Award.
Some of our Art work is on display in the ATL Union in
London
